about variegatagal:
I started this blog way back in 2006 (!) to collect my gardening experiences in zone 8 North Texas. From a newly built house on a barren lot, to a shady patio garden in an apartment complex, to a rental home plot needing some serious TLC, to finally a new build in a rural development–I’ve dug and planted in all sorts of growing conditions. I enjoy growing mostly ornamentals and learning all about landscape design; but I’m also interested in environment-friendly and productive gardening. If the climate permits I’d love to grow something new every day. So let’s get digging.
about the cameras:
Over the course of several years, I’ve had to make use of different cameras to capture the garden sights collected in this blog, all of them designed for auto-focus, point and shoot activities. A Samsung camera phone SCH-U410; Canon Powershot A70, Canon Powershot A710 IS, Canon Powershot A1000 IS , Motorola DROID2, LG (T-Mobile) G2x, Motorola Moto X (2014), Google Pixel 1st Gen to a Google Pixel 3, to a Google Pixel 4 (2019-present). (Maybe) One of these days, I plan on getting a serious camera…
